Introduction
Lumina ("the App") is an astrology compatibility analysis application developed and operated by Lumecore LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States ("we", "us", "our").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When using Lumina, you voluntarily provide the following information for compatibility analysis:
- Names — First names of people for the analysis
- Birth Data — Date of birth, time of birth, and city/place of birth
- Location Coordinates — Geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) of birth places, selected from our city database
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Photos or images
- Device identifiers
- IP addresses
- Social media accounts
- Contact lists
- Browsing history
Payment Information
We do not collect or store any payment information. All payments for Premium features are processed securely by:
- Apple App Store (iOS)
- Google Play Store (Android)
Your payment details (credit card, etc.) are handled entirely by Apple/Google and are never shared with us.
Automatically Collected Information
- Theme Preference — Your choice of light or dark theme is stored locally on your device only
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
- Analysis History — Names, birth data, and compatibility results of your recent analyses so you can review past results
- Purchase Records — Records of your premium analysis purchases for tracking your usage
- Usage Counters — How many free and premium analyses you have used
- Theme Preference — Your light/dark mode choice
Important: This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers for storage. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.
Analytics Data
We use Amplitude to collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience. This includes:
- App Events — Which screens you visit, which features you use
- Feature Usage — Whether you use free or premium analysis, PDF export
- Error Events — When something goes wrong (to help us fix bugs)
What analytics does NOT include:
- Your name or birth data
- Your IP address (disabled in our configuration)
- Any personally identifiable information
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous. It helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can make improvements.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA, we process your data under the following legal bases:
- Contractual Necessity (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — Processing birth data is necessary to provide you with the compatibility analysis service you requested
- Legitimate Interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — Anonymous analytics to improve the app experience
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — You voluntarily provide your data each time you use the analysis feature; you can choose not to use the feature at any time
How We Use Your Information
The birth data you provide is used solely for:
- Calculating astrological positions (Nakshatra, Rashi)
- Performing Vedic compatibility analysis (Ashtakuta matching)
- Generating personalized compatibility reports
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Premium analysis results are generated using artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude API). AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or generalizations, is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only, should not be relied upon as professional advice, and may vary between analyses even with identical input data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
Data Processing
- Birth data is processed in real-time to generate your compatibility report
- For free analysis: all calculations are performed locally on your device
- For premium analysis: birth data is transmitted to a third-party AI service (Anthropic Claude API) for analysis. Data is not stored on our servers after the analysis is complete
- Analysis results are displayed in the app and can be exported as PDF by you
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States (including the EU/EEA), please note that your birth data may be transferred to and processed in the United States when you use Premium analysis features. Specifically:
- Anthropic Claude API — Birth data is sent to Anthropic's servers in the United States for AI-powered analysis
- Amplitude — Anonymous analytics data may be processed in the United States
- RevenueCat — Purchase management data may be processed in the United States
These transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including through:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
- The service providers' own data protection commitments
Your birth data is transmitted only for the duration of the analysis and is not stored by us after processing is complete.
Data Storage and Security
- No Account Required — The app works without registration or login
- No Cloud Storage — Your personal data is not stored in any cloud database by us
- Local Storage — Analysis history, purchase records, and preferences are stored locally on your device only
- Encryption — All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Minimal Data — We collect only what is necessary to provide the service
Data Retention
- Server-side: We do not retain any personal data on our servers after your analysis session ends
- Locally on your device: Analysis history is stored until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app
- Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data is retained by Amplitude according to their retention policy
- Purchase records: Maintained by Apple/Google/RevenueCat according to their respective policies
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will:
- Notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach (as required by GDPR)
- Notify affected users without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms
- Document the breach and corrective actions taken
Given that we do not store personal data on our servers, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal information is minimal.
Children's Privacy
Lumina is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in jurisdictions where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at contact@lumecorellc.com.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — View what data is being processed (displayed in the app)
- Delete — Delete individual analyses from history within the app; clear all app data; or uninstall the app to remove all local data
- Portability — Export your results as PDF

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, most of these rights are automatically satisfied. For locally stored data, you can delete it directly within the app or by clearing app data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
